Essco was created from a dedicated drive with specific technical training and attention to customer care. In 1978 our founder, Dave Hart, followed in his father’s footsteps by joining the corporate petrochemical industry with distinct focus on the downstream refining business. His father, Dave Hart Sr. (dec.) was a pioneer in the industry and served with distinction for 35 years within the liquid-phase electrostatic applications world.
Dave worked for over twenty years in the corporate world, developing sharp technical skills, a real understanding of field work as well as strong working relationships. With this solid foundation and early passion for the business, Dave was eager to create something of his own, with emphasis on providing reliable customer solutions.
From this experience and the distinct support of many, ElectroStatic Services Co., Inc. was founded in 1999.
In the beginning Dave was a one-man show, handling everything from technical support to payables and everything in between. Although those were long, hard days they helped create a path to innovation and ignited an appetite to create a successful business. Those experiences continue to motivate Dave and the entire Essco team today. Essco is made up of a growing number of technical professionals with the expertise needed to solve the most current industry Issues.

Dave Hart
Dave has been a leading provider of liquid-phase electrostatic separation technology expertise for over 40 years. His worldwide career has included serving in such diverse areas as on and offshore production facilities for dehydration of produced crude, foreign and domestic petroleum refineries for desalting raw crude oil and aqueous treatment of distillate streams, power generation facilities for turbine fuel treatment, specialty petrochemical applications and includes several tours in the tar sands regions of North America.
He began and spent the first half of his career to date with the global leader of liquid-phase electrostatic technology, following in the footsteps of his pioneer father Dave Hart, Sr., and has led ElectroStatic Services Co., Inc. since its founding in 1999.
Dave’s passion has been and continues to be the pursuit of excellence within his chosen field. He relishes opportunities for international and domestic travels with his wife Trisha and their three girls. He is an enthusiastic supporter of dogs as pets, especially abandoned dog rescue and enjoys music, golf, basketball and baseball.
Essco as well as Dave and Trisha are dedicated to supporting organizations which serve to help those less fortunate (locally and within the US), international and domestic emergency relief organizations and disabled Veterans service programs.
ADMINISTRATION
Trisha Hart
With over 30 years of customer service and administrative experience, Trisha enjoys working with refineries and vendors by handling the receivables/payables for Electrostatic Services over the past decade.
Trisha delights in watching her youngest daughter play volleyball (traveling in state and out to watch her compete) and she especially enjoys family outings when all three daughters are together (as her two older daughters are grown).
Volunteering for non-profits is near and dear to Trisha, she loves giving her time to church and supporting ministries that reach out to our local communities.
SHOP COORDINATOR
Otilio Mendoza
Otilio has been working within and around the petroleum industry for 22 years, primarily performing welding, fitting and fabrication of key modules and components
He gladly and proudly has worked with Essco for the past 13+ years in fabrication and assembly plus more recently as coordinator of all shop activities including vendor relations, raw materials handling, repair parts orders and logistics.
Recently, Otilio has had the opportunity to help his family and friends recover from recent hurricanes and home flood damage. Helping others brings him joy!
Otilio’s hobbies include family activities, baseball and he also likes to be close to mother nature - enjoying parks, rivers, lakes and more!
